Unforeseen circumstances such as holidays, bustling seasons, inclement weather, or other factors can potentially cause delays in the shipment or delivery of your order. While we strive to provide you with an accurate estimated time of arrival (ETA) or lead time during the ordering process, please understand that these delays are beyond our control. We kindly request your patience as we work diligently to expedite the delivery of your items to you as promptly as possible.

Delivery

Bark and Steel Delivery and Nationwide Shipping.

All deliveries that fall within Gauteng will have our standard Bark & Steel White Glove delivery service which ensures that your purchase will be conveniently delivered right to your doorstep. 

The white glove service includes unpacking, room of choice placement, minor assembly, and garbage removal. However, please note that hanging art or installing lighting fixtures is not part of this service. If you live in a rural location or a complex building, additional charges may apply for deliveries.

Please be aware that oversized and heavy items are only guaranteed for entry on the main floor due to liability reasons. If you have any questions, we encourage you to reach out to us for assistance.

Once your order is ready, a representative from Bark and Steel will contact you. Please ensure that all walkways are clear and the designated area for your item is prepared for delivery. Bark and Steel does not authorise its employees to move any of the clients existing furniture due to liability reasons. It is important that you inspect all items before the the delivery team leaves.

Bark and Steel's team are experienced with installations. We are however not liable for any damage to property which was a result of a delivery or an installation.

For delivery outside of Gauteng on smaller items, we utilise trusted courier services such as The Courier Guy. Larger and oversized items that are required to be delivered outside of Gauteng, on the other hand, will be transported by specialised freight carriers or third-party delivery companies such as H&M Removals, depending on your location.

Kindly make use of the order comments section at the time of checkout to provide specific instructions for the delivery personnel regarding any exceptional circumstances they may encounter during the delivery process. This could include situations such as absence of an elevator or deliveries to a second-floor location. 
It is important to ensure beforehand that the items being ordered can fit through and be accommodated in their intended destination. Please take the time to double-check measurements of doorways and stairwells. Should you have any concerns or inquiries about the size compatibility, please feel free to seek assistance. Moreover, if you would like us to include a signature requirement for the delivery, kindly inform us accordingly.

Please note that materials like wood may have natural variations and imperfections. For instance, when foreign wood adapts to cooler climates, it may slightly shrink or crack. These characteristics are not considered flaws in the product, but rather reminders of its organic and unique nature.

While our client concierge is designed to address material or workmanship issues, as well as damage during transit, we recognize that accidents can occur in the home over time. It's important to understand that damages that occur gradually do not qualify as defects. However, we remain dedicated to providing helpful advice on cleaning, care, and repair to all our customers whenever possible.
