What is your lead time?

All orders are subject to an ESTIMATED 4-6 week lead time.

Lead times are estimated and because we are a manufacturing business we are exposed to a variety of unforeseen circumstances which could extend the lead time at any point.

How do I choose my Rubio Monocoat colour?

You can select any one of the 55 stains that Rubio Monocoat have to choose from.

Once you have placed your order, we will be in touch via email to confirm your colour choice.

We also offer an additional service where we send out sample boards at a cost of R150 to cover the courier costs. This sample board showcases 5 of your favourite colours which you can then match to your existing furnishings.

Can I place a custom order? How do I get a quote?

Bark and Steel prides itself on being a custom manufacturer.

All custom orders can be sent directly to the office via email. Please include design ideas, required diemensions as well as any other relevant specifications and we will send you a formal quote.

Does Bark and Steel have a showroom?

Bark and Steel is a custom manufacturer therefore even though we have an online store, we do not hold any stock and we also do not have a showroom.

We do, however, offer our clients the opportunity to come through to the workshop to meet with us as well as get a feel for our work as there are always items in production as well as ready for delivery.

Workshop visits are by appointment only.

What solid wood do you use?

We mainly manufacture using European Oak, American Oak, Kiaat, Walnut, Red Oak, Saligna, Blackwood and Rhodesian Teak.

We work with any hardwood of the clients choosing. We don't manufacture using Pine or Rubberwood.

    All orders have an ESTIMATED 4-6 week lead time. Please note Black Friday orders will only be delivered during mid January to end February.

    We guarantee only the best quality materials and the finest workmanship.

  • Returns

    Due to the custom nature of the products we manufacture, we do not allow refunds. We will however do everything from our side and work with you to ensure you are completely satisfied with your order.
